Biomimicry Workshop – Nature Inspired Innovation
August 24 @ 2:00 pm - August 27 @ 1:00 pm890€
This biomimicry workshop is for individuals and teams looking to incorporate transdisciplinary systems thinking inspired by nature. Discover how biomimicry can unlock new ways to address your toughest challenges. No prior experience required; all disciplines and skill levels welcome.
Bioversum, in cooperation with European Biomimicry Alliance (EBA) and designforum Vorarlberg, presents:
Biomimicry Workshop Inspired by Nature
In this fun and innovative biomimicry workshop, participants will become familiar with the Framework and Practice of this nature-inspired approach. A defined design challenge will be the vehicle for applying the Biomimicry Thinking Innovation Process, which allows for practical experience across the four phases of this technique: scoping, discovering, creating, evaluating. Above all, you will get a thorough understanding of Biomimicry’s 26 Life Principles—design lessons from nature—and how their use leads to integrative, regenerative projects.
Woven into this process will be information around the principles of circular design and regenerative circular economy. Design Thinking methods will also be touched on, therefore providing a more complete set of tools for your systems thinking toolbox. Ecological design plays a crucial role in the sustainable development of systems, products, and services of tomorrow, which is why we will touch on these, and other nature-inspired topics, throughout the workshop. Get ahead of the curve by learning how to use the processes that are already generating cutting edge solutions in a wide range of sectors.
The biomimicry approach is highly collaborative, transdisciplinary, and creative, hence come prepared to have fun. As a participant, you will walk away with a thorough understanding of this and other living systems inspired innovation processes. And as a result of using real-world scenarios in the training, you will have the resources in hand to quickly and easily apply what you have learned.
